Candles are the economic and simple way to bring light into buildings on a global basis. Candles are made of wax and used for different purposes. Here are the different types used.
Beeswax
Beeswax is the traditional ingredient that is used for making candles. It is a bit expensive, because it is a byproduct of the honey making process, and therefore natural. Beeswax candles could have been the oldest types of candles known to humankind. The beeswax candles are quite famous, because they have a natural aroma, which comes out when the candles are lit. Beeswax is the natural extract from honeycombs. The fragrance depends on which plants or flowers the honeybees have been feeding on.
Gel Wax
One gets Gel Wax on combining gel wax and mineral oil. The wax is quite transparent, so people have a better opportunity of making better-looking wax. Gel is similar to other waxes. It can hold scents, burns, melts and colors. Originally, gel wax could only be used with gel wax containers. However, newer gel waxes can be used without the containers too.
Soy Wax
Soy types are the newest types of wax to hit the market. This kind of wax is completely natural. It is better than paraffin wax because it has a clear burning and does not have any carbon buildup of any kind. Soy wax candles burn for a longer time too, so they are definitely a better option as compared to paraffin wax candles. The best part about soy wax candles is that one can add scents and fragrances to the wax without any hassles. Soy generally consists of pure essential oils and are used as aromatherapy candles too. These candles have a creamy texture. Finally, one can add colors to the soybean too.
